1. Don't overcrowd the baskets.
- Maintain 0.25 m2 of space per passenger.
2. Brief passengers before the flight.
- Use the time on the ground to brief passengers, as there may not be time during the flight.
3. Use the pilot restraint harness.
- Ensure the pilot is securely restrained during approach and landing to prevent pilot ejection from the basket.
4. Correct landing position.
- Before the approach rebrief the passengers on the landing procedure and landing position.
- Before you touch down, make sure everyone is in the correct landing position.
5. Land on the long side of the basket.
- Always aim to land on the longer side of the basket to prevent excessive impact for passengers.
6. Perform a tangential landing.
- Ensure the deflation system opens while the balloon is flying parallel to the surface at a low altitude.
